A physical presence in the batter’s box who returned to the LSU roster in 2010 after sitting out the 2009 season … launched a team-high 19 homers in 2010 and was voted second-team all-SEC by the league coaches … received his LSU undergraduate degree in general studies in August 2009 … came to LSU prior to the ’08 season after a record-setting tenure at Delgado Community College in New Orleans … … selected as a high school senior by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 40th round of the 2005 MLB Draft … a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll as a general studies major.

REDSHIRT SENIOR SEASON (2010)
Started 61 games (56 at DH, three in LF, two at 1B), batting .283 (65-for-230) with seven doubles, 19 homers and 67 RBI … voted second-team all-SEC at DH by the league coaches … finished No. 4 in the SEC in home runs with 19 dingers and posted three 2-HR games during the year … also finished the year No. 9 in the SEC in RBI (67) … launched two homers and drove in six runs in Miss. State series (May 20-22); unloaded three homers in the Ole Miss series (April 23-25) … 4-for-5 with four RBI on April 3 vs. Georgia; belted two homers with four RBI … named Louisiana Sportswriters Association Hitter of the Week on Feb. 24 as he batted .600 (6-for-10) in LSU’s three-game sweep of Centenary (Feb. 19-21) with one double, two homers, six RBI and three runs … launched two homers in the Tigers’ 25-8 win over Centenary on Feb. 20, marking the first multi-HR game of his LSU career … collected five hits in the SEC Tournament, including a homer against Florida in the opening round and a two-run double in the championship game against Alabama.

JUNIOR SEASON (2008)
Played in 21 games (17 starts), batting .270 (17-for-63) with five doubles, two homers and 15 RBI … did not play after LSU’s April 2 game versus Centenary due to a back injury … 4-for-5 with two doubles, one homer and three RBI in LSU win over Duquesne (March 1) … 2-for-5 with one double, one homer and three RBI on March 21 versus Arkansas; his solo shot in the bottom of the 11th inning gave LSU an 8-7 walk-off win over the Hogs.

JUNIOR COLLEGE
Starred at Delgado Community College in New Orleans for two seasons … earned JUCO All-Region honors in 2007 … batted .352 with nine homers and 42 RBI during the 2007 campaign … in his freshman season, batted .370 with 17 homers and 60 RBI … coached by Joe Scheuermann.
