2015 SEC Academic Honor Roll

Excellent left-hander who played his freshman year at Wichita State and sophomore year at Jefferson County Community College in Missouri prior to transferring to LSU in the fall of ’13 … pitched for LSU in 2014 and 2015, making a total of 30 appearances (17 starts) and compiling a 6-3 career record with a 3.19 ERA in 87.1 innings … emerged as one of the Tigers’ top pitchers in 2014, making 11 starts, including four in SEC play … a three-pitch mix lefty that can throw any pitch in any count to keep hitters off balance … named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2015 as a sports administration major .. named to the All-Star Team in the Northwoods League in the summer of 2013.

2014 Season
Appeared in 17 games (11 starts), posting a 5-2 mark and a 2.12 ERA in 63.2 innings with 16 walks and 32 strikeouts… finished No. 7 in the SEC in ERA and No. 10 in the league in opponent batting average (.215) … delivered an excellent performance in the third round of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional versus Houston (June 1), firing six shutout innings and allowing just two singles … defeated Arkansas in SEC Tournament semifinal (May 24), allowing one run on two hits in six innings with two walks and three strikeouts … posted his first career SEC win May 17 at Auburn – five innings, one run on four hits, one walk and two strikeouts … started April 6 game versus Miss. State – worked 3.1 innings and allowed one run on five hits with one walk and four strikeouts … pitched two scoreless relief innings vs. Tennessee (April 27), allowing no hits with two walks … longest outing of the season versus. Yale on March 1 – seven innings, no runs on two hits with one walk and four strikeouts …. recorded a season-high five strikeouts in 6.2 innings versus Purdue on March 8.
