2008 SEC Academic Honor Roll

Versatile player who added depth to the squad at several positions … started in 13 games in 2007 – six starts in right field, five at DH and two at third base … collected eight doubles, four homers and 24 RBI in the summer 2007 while playing in the Coastal Plain League … transferred to LSU in the fall 2006 after two seasons at Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Fla.

SENIOR SEASON (2008)
Did not appear in a game during the 2008 season due to a back injury.

JUNIOR SEASON (2007)
Batted .182 (10-for-55) in 25 games with two doubles, five RBI and five runs … lined a two-out, two-run single in the eighth inning to break a 5-5 tie and lift LSU to victory over Southern (May 1) … 3-for-3 at Mississippi State (April 21) with two doubles and two runs scored in LSU’s 6-5 win over the Bulldogs.

JUNIOR COLLEGE 
Played two seasons at Chipola Junior College … batted .355 with 19 doubles, five homers, 49 runs scored and 57 RBI as a sophomore … led the team to the 2005 Panhandle Conference Championship and was named to the FCCAA all-state first-team … hit .399 with 19 doubles, three homers, 33 runs scored and 36 RBI as a freshman … coached by Jeff Johnson.

HIGH SCHOOL
Two-year letterwinner at North Florida Christian Academy … two-time all-state, all-area selection as a third baseman and pitcher … named most valuable player of his team … batted .463 with 10 homers and 50 RBI as a senior … member of two district championship teams and one state runner-up squad … coached by Mike Posey … recipient of the Bright Futures Scholarship.
