A power arm with a low 90s fastball that gets up to 94 mph on a regular basis … a physical presence on the mound and has a durable frame that can withhold a strong workload … pitched as a reliever and part-time starter for the Tigers during the 2015 season … elected to transfer from LSU in December 2015.

2015 Season
Appeared in 21 games (nine starts), posting a 7-1 mark and a 4.61 ERA in 54.2 innings with 33 walks and 39 strikeouts … pitched two shutout innings on May 8 vs. Missouri, allowing two hits with one walk and four strikeouts … earned relief win at Mississippi State on April 30, recording the final two outs (one strikeout) in the bottom of the 13th inning (LSU won the game in the 14th) … earned win over Northwestern State (April 8), limiting the Demons to three runs on four hits in five innings with no walks and one strikeout … posted win over Arkansas (March 21), allowing one run on five hits in five innings with three walks and a career-best 5 strikeouts … defeated Ole Miss in his SEC debut (March 15), limiting the Rebels to three runs on five hits in 5.2 innings with four walks and two strikeouts … delivered his best performance of the season in defeating Nebraska on March 8, working a career-high seven innings … Godfrey limited the Cornhuskers to two runs on eight hits with two walks and four strikeouts while firing 104 pitches … earned his first collegiate win Feb. 20 against Boston College, limiting the Eagles to one run on four hits in five innings with three walks and one strikeout.
