Highly-touted prospect who contributed solid innings for the Tigers in 2005 … underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow during the off-season … decided to leave LSU after the 2005 fall semester.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2005)
Appeared in 14 games during his true freshman season, posting a 1-0 mark and a 3.82 ERA in 30.2 innings with 16 walks and 26 strikeouts … limited hitters to just a .204 batting average, as he allowed 23 hits in 113 at-bats … fired two shutout innings in his first collegiate appearance vs. Nicholls State (Feb. 11), allowing no hits … first career win on April 6 vs. Rice, as he limited the Owls to no runs on two hits in three relief innings with no walks and two strikeouts … recorded a career-best five Ks in three innings in first collegiate start vs. New Orleans (March 29) … impressive relief outing at Tulane (April 19), allowing one run on three hits in 3.2 innings with one walk and three strikeouts … worked one shutout inning in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional vs. Marist (June 3), recording two Ks with no hits allowed.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Cypress Bay High School for four years … named 2004 Florida 6A All-State Player of the Year for his prolific senior season, in which he compiled an 11-0 record with a 0.29 ERA and 117 strikeouts … led high school squad to the 6A state title as a senior.
