Played two seasons at LSU (2014, 2015), posting a career batting average of .281 (47-for-167) in 73 games (40 starts) with seven doubles, four homers, 33 RBI and 17 runs … elected to transfer to another school after his sophomore season at LSU … a polished infielder from talent-rich south Florida who has played against great competition his whole life … has soft hands and a great throwing arm that looks effortless but carries with excellent velocity across the infield … a tough out at the plate with above-average plate discipline, and a compact but powerful swing that allows him to hit line drives all over the field … hit .305 (29-for-95) for the Harwich Mariners in the 2014 Cape Cod League with five doubles and 12 RBI.

2015 Season
Played in 45 games (27 starts), batting .288 (32-for-111) with five doubles, three homers, 23 RBI and nine runs scored … started 11 games at third base, seven at first base, six at DH and three at second base … collected sacrifice fly in LSU’s College World Series win over Cal State Fullerton (June 16) … 3-for-3 with one double and two RBI at South Carolina (May 14) … delivered a run-scoring double in the bottom of the ninth inning for LSU’s first walk-off win of the year on April 23 vs. Texas A&M … the win was LSU’s first walk-off victory since April 25, 2014, when Mark Laird’s single in the bottom of the ninth lifted the Tigers to an 8-7 triumph over Tennessee … 3-for-4 with two doubles, one homer and three RBI vs. Boston College on Feb. 20.

2014 Season
Played in 28 games with 13 starts (six at 1B, five at 3B, one at 2B, one at DH) … batted .268 (15-for-56) with two doubles, one homer, 10 RBI and eight runs … 3-for-5 with three runs scored versus Northwestern State (May 13) … delivered a double and an RBI in LSU’s May 10 win over Alabama … launched a grand slam – the first homer of his collegiate career – on February 28 versus Yale.

Prior to LSU
Named to the 2013 Rawlings All Regional Team … 2013 All-State, All-County and All-District 1st Team … helped lead American Heritage High to 2012 Florida state championship in his junior season … batted .506 in his senior season with six homers, 31 RBI and five stolen bases … posted a .948 slugging percentage and a .544 on-base percentage in 2013 … a multi-time all-county and all-district performer throughout his career … a starter on the American Heritage HS varsity squad since the eighth grade.

Parents are Ramon and Mary Zardon … father is a dentist, mother is an office manager … has two older brother, Ramon and Michael, and a younger sister, Stephanie … chose to attend LSU because it is the “number one program in the country and has the greatest fan support in all of college sports” … majoring in sports administration at LSU … born September 30, 1994 in Miami, Fla.
