• Transferred to LSU from South Florida after the 2024 season … enjoyed a dominant three-game stint in the summer of 2024 in the Cape Cod League for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, as he did not allow a run and struck out 13 in 8.1 innings while limiting opponents to a .115 batting average
• Led the USF pitching staff in 2024 with 26 relief appearances as the team’s primary closer … he was 2-1 on the year with eight saves, a 3.60 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 30.0 innings, limiting opposing batters to a .180 average
2024 Season (at South Florida): Led the USF pitching staff with 26 relief appearances as the team’s primary closer…went 2-1 with eight saves, a 3.60 ERA (12 ER/30.0 IP), a 1.20 WHIP and 40 strikeouts…held opposing batters to a .180 average…earned his first career save at UCF (3/2)…struck out a career-high five batters over 2.0 IP in a save vs. UNC Greensboro (3/16)…logged a career-high 3.1 IP and earned the win at Tulane (4/14)…did not allow an earned run in 18 of his appearances, including six straight to close out the season.
2023 Season (at South Florida): Ranked third on the team with 22 appearances as a true freshman…went 2-3 with a 7.40 ERA (17 ER/20.2 IP)…struck out 30 batters…struck out a season-best three batters five times, including his debut against No. 13 Maryland (2/18)…earned his first collegiate win in USF’s comeback win at No. 7 Florida (2/22)…allowed only one earned run over his final five appearances of the season (6.1 IP)…made 11 total appearances without allowing an earned run.

Personal: Born December 25, 2003, in Lynchburg, Va….also lived in Mississippi (ages 2-5) and Tennessee (ages 5-7) before moving to Florida…son of Todd and Mary Dorsey; father is a retired pastor, mother is a real estate agent…has a younger brother, Ethan, and and older sister, Madison…father, Todd, was on the track & field team at Liberty University…enjoys playing video games and working out in his free time…also received an offer from Miami (Fla.) out of high school … majoring in sport administration at LSU.
