Champ Artigues Season 2025
Christopher “Champ” Artigues was named LSU Baseball Director of Operations in September 2024 after working during the 2024 season as the Tigers’ Director of Position Player Development.
Artigues during the 2024 season assisted the LSU coaches with hitting and infield instruction, organized on-campus recruiting events and assisted in the coordination of team travel.
Artigues, a native of Hammond, La., played baseball at Louisiana Tech and at Southeastern Louisiana from 2020-23. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Southeastern Louisiana, and he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree Sport Management at LSU.
He worked as the tournament director at Hammond America Sportsplex in the summer of 2022, managing over 50 youth league tournaments.
Artigues worked during the 2022-2023 academic year at Southeastern Louisiana as an assistant academic advisor, providing daily counsel to the SLU student-athletes.
He is the son of former Southeastern Louisiana head baseball coach and current SLU athletics director Jay Artigues.
