Bill Dailey is in his fourth season at LSU, having joined the coaching staff in January, 1998. A former catcher at Old Dominion University, Dailey serves as LSU’s third-base coach, and he supervises the Tigers’ infielders and base running.

In Dailey’s three seasons as third-base coach, the Tigers have made two College World Series appearances (1998, 2000) and claimed one national championship (2000).

Dailey, 32, came to LSU after working as an assistant coach for four seasons at Montgomery (Md.) Junior College, where he served as offensive coach and recruiting coordinator. Montgomery maintained a Top 20 ranking in each of Dailey’s four seasons there.

Dailey is a 1992 graduate of Old Dominion, where he played catcher and later served as a volunteer coach from 1990-92.

Dailey, a native of Hornell, N.Y., is engaged to be married to Kim Pylant of Baton Rouge.
