JUNIOR SEASON (2001)
LSU’s second-leading hitter on the year, batting .353 (94-for-266) with 18 doubles, three triples, one homer and 48 RBI … voted second-team all-SEC by the league coaches … finished his career in the Top 10 in several school categories, including hits (No. 8 – 255), triples (No. 9 – nine) and walks (No. 5 – 157) … he also collected 625 assists, tying Jason Williams (1993-96) for first place in LSU career annals … LSU’s leading hitter in SEC games in 2001, batting .374 (46-for-123) with 11 doubles, one triple, 18 RBI and 24 runs … posted a team-best 17-game hitting streak during the season … named SEC Player of the Week April 9 after an 8-for-12 performance in three games at South Carolina (April 6-8) … 4-for-6 with one double, three runs and two RBI vs. Ole Miss (April 14) … 4-for-6 with two runs at South Carolina (April 7) … 2-for-5 with one double and a career-high four RBI vs. Louisiana-Lafayette (April 10). 

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2000)
Started all 69 games for LSU at shortstop, batting .305 (84-for-275) with 14 doubles, three triples, four homers, 41 RBI, 68 runs and a team-best 57 walks as the Tigers’ lead-off hitter…finished No. 3 in the Southeastern Conference in the walks category…outstanding at the plate in the NCAA Tournament, batting .381 (16-for-42) in LSU’s nine games with three doubles, seven RBI, 11 runs and three walks…named to the College World Series all-tournament team as he hit .368 (7-for-19) with one double, four RbI, six runs and a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage…LSU’s leading hitter in the NCAA Super Regional versus UCLA, as he hit .444 (4-for-9) with one double, one RBI and four runs…batted .391 (9-for-23) in the NCAA Regional and Super Regional combined with two doubles, three RBI and five runs…hit .200 (3-for-15) in the SEC Tournament with one homer, three RBI and four runs…delivered an inside-the-park home run versus Georgia (March 11) in Alex Box Stadium.


FRESHMAN SEASON (1999)
Made an immediate impact in his true freshman season as the Tigers’ starting second baseman, as he was in the line-up for 65 of LSU’s 66 games…the Tigers’ lead-off hitter in 46 games…batted .322 (78-for-242) with 11 doubles, three triples, two homers, 41 RBI, 55 runs and 13 steals…hit .311 (37-for-119) in SEC games with six doubles, two triples, two homers, 14 RBI and 18 runs…finished No. 5 in the SEC in walks (52)…3-for-10 in the SEC Tournament with one triple, two sac flies and eight RBI…named the NCAA Regional at Baton Rouge all-tournament team as he batted .316 (6-for-19) with one double, five RBI and six runs…for the entire NCAA Tournament, he batted .333 (9-for-27) in seven games with one double, five RBI and eight runs…led the Tigers in producing an RBI with a runner at third and less than two outs, as he enjoyed an .800 success rate (16-for-20)…second on the team in multiple-hit games with 25…collected a career-best four hits (in 4 AB) vs. Southeastern Louisiana, producing a double, two RBI and two runs…career-best four RBI vs. Kentucky in the SEC Tournament (May 20), as he tripled and produced a sac fly…tied school record for walks with four at Mississippi State (April 25)…hit game-winning double in 10th inning at SW Louisiana (March 9)…launched first collegiate home run at Arkansas (March 19).


HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered four seasons at Broadmoor High…was The Advocate’s Star of Stars in baseball in 1998, and was selected to the LHSCA All-Star game…led the Buccaneers to three consecutive district championships (1996, ’97, and ’98)…earned first-team all-district honors in each of his last three years, and was named first-team all-state in Class 4A as a senior after being an honorable mention selection in 1996 and ’97…named district 7-4A MVP in 1998, when he hit .614 with six home runs, 46 RBI, and was 12-for-12 on stolen bases…hit .542 for his career with 12 home runs, 135 RBIs, and 54 stolen bases…struck out just 14 times in his high school career…also lettered two seasons in basketball…coached by Keith Hill in baseball and Keith Altazin in basketball.
