Ben Bullock Season 2020-21
Benjamin Bullock joined the LSU Sports Properties team in August of 2016 as a Video Production Specialist.
Previously, Bullock spent three years at his Alma Mater – Delaware State University – serving as the Assistant Athletic Media Relations Director and Director of Multimedia/Social Media. Bullock also constructed and taught the first-ever Digital Athletic Media Relations course in conjunction with athletic department and mass communications office during the 2015-16 school year.
Prior to Delaware State, Bullock spent two years at the University of Missouri-Kansas City as a Sports Information Graduate Assistant, where he was the media contact for women’s soccer, track & field, cross country and softball. During his time at UMKC, he also earned his master’s degree in education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction.
His previous stop, meanwhile, was at ESPN in Bristol, Conn. as a Production Assistant (2010-11). His duties at ESPN included producing highlights, along with scripts for Sportscenter, NBA Tonight, College Football/Basketball and Baseball Tonight. In addition, he was a teleprompter operator for television productions such as NFL Live, Sportscenter, The Beat and Outside the Lines.
In 2010, he received his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism from Delaware State University. During his time as an undergraduate, Bullock wrote for the Hornet Newspaper (2007-10), hosted a sports radio show for WDSU Radio (2007-10) and served as a color commentator for football, basketball, volleyball and baseball games for WDSU-TV (2008-10).
Bullock has also done a plethora of internships to advance his career.
In 2010, he wrote featured stories and any related news about the New York Jets for NYJetsFan.com, while doing the same for BlueStarDaily.com in relation to the Dallas Cowboys.
Additionally, Bullock interned for the Heritage Sports Radio Network in Hartley, Del. (2009-10), as he duties included color commentating collegiate basketball games, constructing surveys for prospective advertisement grants, parabolic microphone operations and on-site producing.
In 2008, he interned for the Metro Sports Network in Kansas City, Mo., where he created highlight packages and assisted on-air personalities in video production setup and interviews.
Bullock is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) and the national mass communications honor society, Lambda Pi Eta.
Family wise, he has a younger brother, Daniel, while his parents are Christopher and Debbie.
