Andy Rowdon Season 2020-21
Andrew Rowdon was named Assistant Director of Marketing and Promotions in August, 2008. In his current role, he oversees the creation of all marketing and advertising items for the LSU men’s basketball program as well as the creation and scripting of all in-game promotional efforts surrounding LSU Basketball games. In addition, he oversees the undergraduate internship program, assists with football marketing, words as the department administrator for the Maravich Maniacs student group and serves as the marketing contact for men’s and women’s tennis.
Prior to joining LSU, Rowdon was employed by Georgetown University from 2005 to 2008, being promoted to the role of Director of Marketing in 2007, where he oversaw marketing and promotional efforts for all 27 varsity sports. While at Georgetown, he also served as the Assistant Tournament Manager for the 2006 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championships hosted by Georgetown and played at the Verizon Center in D.C.
Throughout his career, Andrew has been recognized numerous times by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators as a “Best Of” Award winner for his efforts. These efforts include a NACMA Best of the Best Award in 2007 for Group I Sponsorship Program as well as one gold, three silver and two bronze medals for marketing and promotional efforts surrounding both LSU and Georgetown Basketball. Andrew was also recognized by the National Sports Forum in 2008 as a finalist for the Best In Stadium / In Arena video.
Rowdon is a 2002 graduate of Virginia Tech with a bachelors degree in History and a 2005 graduate of California State University Long Beach with a masters degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Management. He currently resides in Baton Rouge, La.
