Ike Brown joined the LSU staff in 2022 and serves as an associate development coach for the Tigers. He joined the LSU program after four years as head strength and conditioning coordinator coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL and two years with Forge FC Soccer club.

Brown has over 10 years of experience working with NFL, CFL, and Pro-Soccer players and he helped teams to back-to-back Grey Cup appearances and back-to-back CPL Soccer championships.

He spent five years as Tennessee, first as assistant strength and conditioning coach from 2013-15 and then as director of player development for three years. During his five years with the Vols, Tennessee won three bowl games and posted back-to-back nine-win seasons in 2015 and 2016.

Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Brown played college football at Central Michigan University where he was a four-year captain and an all-conference performer for Brian Kelly. Brown played three positions during his collegiate career – first at running back, before moving to safety in 2004 and linebacker for the final two seasons.

Brown went on to play five years of professional football in the NFL and the CFL. He spent most of the 2008 season with the Atlanta Falcons followed by four years with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL.

Brown graduated with a degree in sports studies from Central Michigan in 2008.
