CAREER
A walk-on to the program who worked his way into a starting role on LSU’s special teams units and eventually earned a scholarship … Played in 47 games with no starts during his career … Finished career with 10 tackles, all on special teams … Tore anterior cruciate ligament in knee during a Thursday practice the week of the Georgia game in 2013 … Was not able to participate in kickoff coverage against Georgia, but still made the trip and performed his duties as LSU’s holder against the Bulldogs … Did not miss any games due to knee injury … Has a passion for the game and it shows with the way he pursued the football on kickoff and punt coverage …  Served as LSU’s holder on all placekicks in 2013 … Three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll … Nicknamed “Spicoli” after the character on Fast Times at Ridgemont High due to his long blonde hair  … When told of the nickname, he had no idea who “Spicoli” was as he’s never seen the movie … Graduated in December with a degree in Nutrition and Food Science … Plans to attend medical school next year … Recipient of the 2013 Charles Coates Award as the top student-athlete on the football team.

SENIOR SEASON (2013)
Played in all 13 games with no starts …Served as LSU’s holder on placekicks for every game … Started on LSU’s kickoff and punt coverage until a knee injury during practice two days before the Georgia game put him on the sidelines … Still served as LSU’s holder but could no longer run down the field on kickoff and punt coverage … Had career-best three special teams tackles in win over Auburn … Had a total of four special teams tackles.

JUNIOR SEASON (2012)
Played in all 13 games in a special teams role … Recorded four tackles … Had one tackle each in games vs. Washington, Idaho, Florida, and Alabama … Served as the holder in season-opener vs. North Texas and Clemson in the Chick-fil-A bowl.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2011)
Played in 12 games with no starts … Saw action on special teams … Tallied his first career tackle on kickoff coverage against West Virginia … Posted an assisted tackle versus Kentucky.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2010)
Played the first nine games of the season on the Tigers kickoff team … Did not record any statistics … Earned his first letter with the Tigers in 2010.
