CAREER
Spent four years as a walk-on running back/corner for the Tigers … Joined the team in 2007 and made an immediate impact in game-week preparations … Competed at tailback against the Tiger’s No. 1 defense in practices week in and week out … Earned five Player of the Week accolades for his work on the scout team during LSU’s 2007 National Championship campaign … Off the field, Gunn was named to the 2008 SEC Academic Honor Roll and served as vice president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee … In 2010 he spoke at the SEC New Coaches Orientation and was selected to present at the 2010 SEC Spring Meetings … In addition to working hard on the field and in the classroom, Gunn’s community service work in the Baton Rouge area earned him LSU’s 2010 Male Student-Athlete Volunteer of the Year … His senior year he hosted the “Orlandeaux in Orlando” Capital One Bowl segment, where he interviewed teammates for LSUsports.net … In recognition of his hard work, Gunn was selected as a recipient of the 2010 NCAA Postgraduate Internship program where he worked in the Branding and Communications department helping manage the overall brand of the NCAA through national public service announcements, community outreach and the operation and planning of NCAA championships … In addition, he was recently selected for the 2010 NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women’s Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship for Careers in Athletics.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Harker Heights High School … Stepped in as fullback his senior year after starting fullback went down to injury … Started the remaining 8 games of the season, helping lead block the Knights all the way to the 5A Bi-District Playoffs in 2005 … Noted for being extremely coachable, a team player, and a leader …. Celebrated as Honorary Captain for the 2007 Knights Black vs. Red Spring Game … Continues to visit Harker Heights High School as a guest speaker to students and student-athletes … Coached by Ross “The Boss” Rodgers.
