• Starter as a freshmen on the high school varsity basketball team, and led the team in three-point field goals made

A physically gifted athlete, Mason has a chance to make his mark on the LSU program and continue the tradition at LSU of having outstanding catchers. Following a very significant high school career in south Florida where he led his high school team to the state finals, Mason was off to a tremendous start offensively and defensively in the Prospect League this summer playing for Danville (the same team Josh Smith played for prior to his starting at LSU). However, his summer was cut short due to injury. I’m very excited to see Mason in the purple and gold as I believe he will be a great player here.”
