Jason’s got potential to play after college, but he’s very focused on what we’re trying to do this year. He’s very emotional and he’s always fighting. We’ve used his spark to get going for many years.

Senior Season (2004-05)
Named Second-Team All-Louisiana in 2005 … Received SEC Player of the Week honors Feb. 28 by recording doubles and singles wins in LSU’s victory over ninth-ranked Texas A&M … He and doubles partner Danny Bryan beat Zack Malmgren and Jerry Makowski, 8-4, to clinch the doubles point … Hazely defeated No. 81 Yevgeny Supeko at No. 3 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2 … Finished the season with a 27-9 overall record in doubles matches, including an 18-5 record with Bryan … Recorded a 22-19 overall record in singles matches … Finished career tied for 18th with Tamer El Sawy in all-time singles wins with a 77-72 overall record … Notched a 5-5 record against nationally ranked opponents in singles competition … Earned the biggest win of his career, a 6-1, 7-5 victory over No. 12 Sven Swinnen of Oregon … Named to SEC Academic Honor Roll … Earned fourth varsity letter.

Junior Season (2003-04)

Named the 2002 Louisiana Freshman of the Year … Earned 2002 First-Team All-Louisiana honors as a freshman … Notched a 6-2 record on court No. 4 … Recorded a team-best 6-4 record in SEC matches … Ended the year as one of the Tigers’ three 20-match winners with a final 22-18 overall singles records … Finished the fall with an impressive 12-8 record … Opened tournament play with an outstanding 6-1 mark in singles competition before falling to Tulane’s 15th-ranked Michal Kogan … Was the only Tiger with a winning record versus top-100 ranked opponents … Defeated three ranked opponents during the season in Tennessee’s 80th- ranked Mark Dietrich, Alabama’s 96th-ranked Chris Gostek and South Florida’s No. 100 Martin Wetzel … Reeled off five-straight singles wins early in the fall season … Also did well in doubles with a 17-13 record … Earned his first varsity letter.
