2005 Season
LSU’s primary relief pitcher for the third straight season, allowing just 61 hits in 62.2 innings and holding opponents to a .252 batting average … Maintained a team-low 2.30 ERA this season after recording an ERA of 4.35 last season … Will forego senior season to attend LSU Medical School in Shreveport this fall; has maintained a 3.781 grade point average in biology … Named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year on May 25 … Tied for eighth in the SEC in saves (7) … Named SEC Pitcher of the Week on May 23 after a brilliant weekend at Mississippi State in which he helped lead the Tigers to a share of the SEC West title … Earned a win in relief (5/20) and a save (5/22) at Miss. Appeared in 20 games (five starts), recording a 6-5 mark and a 4.14 ERA in 76 innings with 16 walks and 50 strikeouts … suffered a relief loss to Miami (Fla.) in the College World Series (June 19), allowing four runs on four hits in five innings with one walk and five strikeouts … earned relief win over Texas A&M in NCAA Super Regional (June 12), limiting the Aggies to three runs (two earned) on six hits in six innings with one walk and three Ks … relief loss versus Florida in the SEC Tournament (May 26), as he was charged with one run on one hit in three innings with one walk and three Ks … first career SEC regular-season start on April 16 versus Georgia — 8.1 innings, five runs, eight hits, one walk and five strikeouts (no decision in 6-5, 10-inning LSU win) … relief win versus Vanderbilt (May 15), allowing two runs on five hits in seven innings with two walks and three strikeouts … relief win at Ole Miss (May 23) — 4.1 innings, two runs, four hits, one walk, three strikeouts … earned relief victory in LSU’s season opener at Central Florida (Feb. 13), limiting the Knights to one run on three hits in four innings with one walk and two strikeouts.

2003 Season
Appeared in 20 games (four starts), posting a 7-0 record and a 2.94 ERA in 67.1 innings with 11 walks and 51 strikeouts … allowed just a .230 opponent batting average against left-handed hitters … 2-0 record in LSU’s NCAA Tournament games, recording a 3.60 ERA in 15 innings (four appearances) with four walks and 10 strikeouts … for the entire post-season, he was 3-0 with a 4.03 ERA in 22.1 innings (five appearances) with five walks and 14 strikeouts … pitched effectively in relief versus South Carolina in the College World Series (June 15 — no decision), limiting the Gamecocks to four runs on five hits in 6.2 innings … worked three brilliant relief innings in Game 2 of the NCAA Super Regional versus Baylor (June 7), allowing no runs on four hits with no walks and one strikeout — he earned the 6-5 victory, forcing a Game 3 showdown that LSU won to advance to the CWS … recorded a relief win in the final game of the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional versus UNC-Wilmington (June 1), allowing one run on two hits in four innings with no walks and five strikeouts … earned the win as a starter in LSU’s SEC Tournament opener versus Arkansas (May 22), limiting the Razorbacks to four runs on eight hits in 7.1 innings with one walk and four strikeouts … defeated New Orleans (April 30), working eight innings and surrendering just one earned run on eight hits with no walks and six Ks.

2002 Season (Medical Redshirt)
Injured his left elbow Feb. 20 in a starting role at Centenary and missed the rest of the season after undergoing surgery … was very effective in his outings prior to the injury, as he made two appearances — including the one start at Centenary — posting a 1-0 mark with a 1.29 ERA in seven innings … allowed four hits and one earned run with one walk and three strikeouts … earned his first career LSU win February 9 versus Birmingham-Southern, surrendering one run on two hits in four relief innings … in his first career start February 20 at Centenary, he allowed no runs on two hits with one walk and three strikeouts before leaving the game due to the injury.

High School
A three-year baseball letterman (pitcher/outfielder) at Catholic High School … posted a 10-5 mark and a 1.32 ERA in 2001, recording 136 strikeouts and seven walks in 100.1 innings … earned 2001 all-state and academic all-state honors … voted the District 5-5A Most Valuable Player … maintained a 3.92 GPA and was named the Catholic High Man of the Year … also received the Brent Pecue Memorial Scholarship.
