JUNIOR SEASON (2003-04)

Returned to his freshman form by earning All-SEC honors for the second time in his career … Participated in all 12 tournaments, leading the team with a 72.8 stroke average … Was named First-Team All-Louisiana for the second time in his career, the third time he received All-Louisiana honors … Led the team with four top-ten and seven top-twenty finishes … All top-ten finishes came in four of the first five tournaments of the season … Recorded 14 rounds that were par or better … Low round of his career was a 5-under 67 in the first round of the Baylor Invitational Sept. 29-30 in Waco, Texas, to finish in a tie for ninth … Led Tigers to the team title with his best finish of the season and of his career at the Country Club of Louisiana Intercollegiate Oct. 27-28 when he tied for second place with a 5-under par 211 … Was the low Tiger at the LSU Spring Invitational April 2-4 when he finished 12th with a 4-under par 212 … Named SEC Golfer of the Week April 8 after leading the Tigers to the team title at the LSU Spring Invitational … Finished in a tie for 15th at the SEC Championships in Sea Island, Ga. with a 5-over 215 … Participated in his first NCAA East Regional, finishing in a tie for 66th with a 14-over 224 … Earned his third varsity letter.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2002-03)
Followed up a sensational freshman season with a solid sophomore campaign … Participated in 11 of 12 tournaments and had the team’s second-lowest stroke average (73.3) … A Second-Team All-Louisiana selection, making the squad for the second-straight season … Had five top-20 finishes, which was second-best on the team … His two top-10 finishes were also second on the squad … Played 33 rounds of which 32 counted toward the team’s final score … Posted 15 rounds of par or better which was the second-best total on the team … Had consecutive Top-10 finishes in March as he tied for eighth at the LSU Spring Invitational, helping the Tigers to the team title … Then tied for fifth at the Louisiana Classics Intercollegiate in Lafayette, La. … Placed in the Top 20 in three of his first tournaments of the season … Fired a season-best score of 4-under par 68 in the first round of the Coca-Cola Tennessee Tournament of Champions on Oct. 21-22 in Knoxville, Tenn., to finish 11th overall … Tied for 17th place in both the SunTrust Gator Invitational and the ASU Indian Classic … Shot five-consecutive rounds under par, firing back-to-back 71s to finish the LSU Spring Invitational and then 72-70-71 at the Louisiana Classics Intercollegiate … Traveled to the Southeastern Conference Championship for the second year in a row, finishing in a tie for 36th place … Won the Labor Day Invitational on Sept. 1, at the Mobile Country Club in Mobile, Ala. … Earned his second varsity letter.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2001-02)
West had one of the best freshman seasons in school history, as he became the first Tiger golfer since Rob McNamara in 1984 to make the All-SEC Team as a freshman … Was a member of the All-SEC second team … Posted the team’s lowest stroke average during the season (72.4) and had the most top-20 finishes on the team (six) … Also placed in the Top 10 three times, which was tied for second-best on the team … Participated in 12 of LSU’s 13 tournaments during the season … Played 34 rounds and shot under par 14 times … Tied for first place individually at the rain-shortened LSU Spring Invitational … Fired a 1-under par 209 to place eighth and help LSU win the Gator Invitational title in the first tournament of the spring … Tied for fifth place at the 2002 SEC Championships, shooting a 4-over 214 … Shot even-par 213 at the Conrad Rehling Alabama Spring Invitational to place 11th … Named the SEC Golfer of the Week on March 20 following the 11th-place showing at the Alabama Spring Invitational … Earned his first varsity letter.
