Ranked third in the SEC and 25th nationally in kickoff returns with a 23.8 average and was third in punt returns in the league and 34th nationally with an 11.0 average … Averaged 130.5 all- purpose yards a contest, a number that ranked fifth in the SEC and 35th in the nation … Totaled 572 yards on 24 kickoff returns and had 298 yards on 27 punt returns … Ranked as LSU’s second-leading rusher with 445 yards and five touchdowns on 123 carries … Had a 48-yard kickoff return vs. Houston and a 46-yarder vs. Alabama … Season-long punt return was 30-yarder against Florida … Rushed for 79 yards and two TD’s in overtime win over 13th-ranked Mississippi State … Answered the call against Ole Miss when starter LaBrandon Toefield went down with a knee injury in first quarter vs. the Rebels … Filled in for Toefield and rushed for a season-best 106 yards and two touchdowns on a career-high 25 carries in the 20-9 win over Ole Miss … Had 226 all-purpose yards against UAB and 193 against Florida.

FRESHMAN SEASON (1999)
A second team Freshman All-American as a return specialist in 1999 … The Tigers’ second leading rusher in 1999, playing behind senior Rondell Mealey … He played in all 11 games and was the featured return specialist for the Tigers … Set LSU records for most kickoff returns in a season with 25 and most kickoff return yards in a season with 618, breaking records set by Robert Dow in 1975 … Had 64 carries for 274 yards and three touchdowns and caught 13 passes for 94 yards for the year … Averaged 5.5 yards per punt return and 24.7 yards per kickoff return, including a long return for 56 yards … Was fourth in the SEC in kickoff return average per game …Ranked second on the team in all-purpose yardage with 1,052 yards (95.6 yds/per game) … Ran for 109 yards on 17 attempts against North Texas, including a touchdown … Made the Knoxville News-Sentinel SEC All-Freshman Team and the Sporting News Freshman All-America Team.
