Tiger Basketball To Host Halloween "Boo-Up" Exhibition Game, Monday, Oct. 30

BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s basketball team will celebrate Halloween early and get a final tune-up before the season opener at its exhibition contest on Monday, October 30, against Louisiana Christian in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

The contest, billed as “Boo Up” on a play on the team’s popular “Boot Up” moniker, is set for 7 p.m. with free admission. The game will be broadcast on the affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network and streamed on SEC Network +.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. to the Maravich Center. Fans are encouraged to attend in their best Halloween costumes as there will be a Halloween costume contest at halftime of the game. There will also be candy available for the kids and after the game there will be a postgame autograph session with the men’s basketball squad.

This will be the first time LSU has played a preseason exhibition contest at the Maravich Center prior to the season since before the 2016-17 season. LSU has played three charity preseason exhibition games since then, but all have been away from Baton Rouge.

Louisiana Christian, formerly known as Louisiana College, is located in Pineville and the Tigers have actually played the Wildcats 35 times, the last in 1995. The last time Louisiana Christian was here for an exhibition game was in 2006. The Wildcats are members in men’s basketball of the NAIA’s Red River Athletic Conference.

The Tigers will open the 2023-24 season on Monday, Nov. 6, in a 7 p.m. against Mississippi Valley State. LSU will play eight home regular season contests in November and December before opening Southeastern Conference play on Jan. 6 at Texas A&M.

Season ticket information is available at LSUTix.net and at the LSU Athletics Ticket Office.
