NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA released their women’s Pre-Outdoor Conference Championships edition of The Bowerman Watch List on Monday. Senior Alia Armstrong is on the list for the second week in-a-row, while sophomore Michaela Rose is back to receiving votes after making her first appearance on the watch list last week.
Armstrong makes her seventh, and final, watch list appearance of her collegiate career this week. The senior holds the national-leading and fastest all-conditions 100-meter hurdles time in collegiate history of 12.31 seconds, which she clocked at the SEC Championships in May. This weekend Armstrong will be running in the 100mH and the 4×100-meter relay.
Rose received her first watch list appearance a week ago, but another week of dominating her competition was not enough to keep her on the list once again. The Virignia native will be looking to take on the collegiate record of 1:57.73, set by Athing Mu in 2021 before she went on to win The Bowerman. Rose is also entered in the 4×400-meter relay alongside the 800 meter.
Altogether, the duo of Armstrong and Rose have set six LSU records this season, hold two nation leads, and claimed three gold medals at the SEC Championships a month ago.
