Winstead Named To The SEC Community Service Team

Baton Rouge, La. – LSU men’s golfer Trey Winstead was named the SEC Community Service Team on Friday morning.

Winstead is men’s golf representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee at LSU and served the community in a variety of ways this past year. In August of 2020, he helped out with Hurricane Laura relief by donating and collecting supplies for those affected by the hurricane in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He spearheaded LSU’s participation in ‘Happy for Hudson’, an event that honored Hudson Lais by exuding happiness and showing acts of kindness to those around you. He represented the men’s golf team, as mentioned above, on the SAAC and played a role in helping organize a ‘We’re Committed’ rally in April for LSU Athletics.

Winstead, who just graduated in May with a degree in business, will return to the LSU men’s golf team for the 2021-22 season.
