Alexander, Clarke, and Henderson Set to Graduate
Baton Rouge, La. – Tinaya Alexander, Jade Clarke and Courtney Henderson are set to earn their degrees from LSU this weekend. Alexander is graduating with a degree in sport administration, Clarke is graduating with a degree in elementary education, and Henderson is earning her degree in business. All three were members of LSU’s 2018 SEC Tournament championship team.
Alexander has played in a total of 61 games thus far during her LSU career earning a start in 56 of those contests dating back to the 2017 season. She’s scored 12 career goals and added in 16 career assists for a total of 40 points. She’s set to be a key piece of LSU’s attack during the 2021 fall season. Her 2020-21 season saw her score a career high nine goals to lead the LSU squad. Her 1.40 points per game (21 total) ranked as the fourth highest average in the SEC this year and her 0.60 goals per game (9 total) ranked No. 3 in the SEC this year. Her 16 career assists are the ninth most in LSU school history.
Henderson has been a member of the LSU soccer program dating back to the fall of 2016 and has been a 4x SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll honoree. She played in 43 career matches for the Tigers and started a career high 14 games this season as a holding mid in the Tigers’ lineup. She boasts two career assists and logged a total of 1,861 minutes during her career on the pitch for LSU.
Clarke last played for LSU during the fall of 2019 and served as one of the team leaders that season. A talented winger who could make things happen in the snap of a finger, she played in 68 career games logging a total of 2,550 minutes. During her sophomore campaign in 2017, she registered all three of her career assists with one each coming against Mississippi Valley State, Austin Peay, and Cincinnati; all three games were LSU wins.
