Week Eight National Softball Rankings

BATON ROUGE – The LSU softball team (21-12, 6-6 SEC) is No. 15 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll and No. 17 in the USA Today/NFCAD1 Coaches poll. 

LSU has been ranked every week since the end of the 2014 season. The Tigers took their SEC weekend series over Ole Miss with a 1-0 win in eight innings on Thursday and 4-3 victory on Friday. 

LSU earned a total of 301 points in the NFCA poll and 214 points in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll. 

The squad returns to action at 5 p.m. CT Tuesday against Louisiana Tech and then travels to face No. 19 Missouri in Columbia over the weekend.
