No. 23 Men’s Golf Wraps Up Regular Season at Country Club of Birmingham Invitational
Baton Rouge, La. – No. 23 LSU men’s golf is set to wrap up its regular season slate this Monday through Wednesday at the Country Club of Birmingham Invitational. Eighteen holes will be played each day at the Country Club of Birmingham that will play as a par 71 at 7,226 yards.
LSU will go with a lineup of Garrett Barber, Drew Doyle, Nicholas Arcement, Connor Gaunt, and Michael Sanders; Hayden White will make the trip and play as an individual. LSU is set to take on six teams ranked in the Golfstat Top 25; those teams are No. 4 Clemson, No. 9 Auburn, No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 19 Tennessee, No. 21 Arkansas, and No. 22 North Florida.
LSU will tee off Monday morning at 8:20 a.m. CT alongside Kentucky and Ole Miss. Sanders will go off first at 8:20 a.m. and will be followed in 10-minute increments by Gaunt, Arcement, Doyle, and Barber from the No. 1 tee; White will tee off at 8:20 a.m. from hole No. 10.
Barber and Gaunt enter the final regular season tournament as the only players on the LSU roster to play in all seven events this season. Barber is averaging a career best 71.05 strokes per round this season and leads the team with two top-10 finishes on the season. Gaunt registered his only top-10 finish of the season back in October at the Vanderbilt Legends Intercollegiate.
