Men's Tennis Back on the Road to Face No. 6 Texas A&M

Baton Rouge—The No. 31 LSU men’s tennis team is back on the road to take on No. 6 Texas A&M on Saturday, April 3 in Bryan-College Station, Texas at the Mitchell Tennis Center at 2:00 pm.

LSU sits at 11-8 on the season and 3-5 in conference play. The Tigers are currently eighth in the SEC standings. In the latest ITA Rankings, the team rose up eight spots to No. 31. Freshman Ronald Hohmann went up to No. 54, and the senior & freshman duo of Rafael Wagner and Hohmann broke into the doubles ranks at No. 55.

No. 6 Texas A&M will be one of LSU’s toughest challenges of the season thus far. They’re currently 13-5 on the season and 5-3 in SEC play with wins over No. 2 Baylor and No. 6 TCU. The Aggies are coming off a loss over No. 7 Texas, 4-3. They have six ranked singles players, with No. 2 Hady Habib leading the charge. He’s followed by No. 6 Valentin Vacherot, No. 64 Juan Carlos Aguilar, No. 77 Noah Schachter, No. 78 Pierce Rollins, and No. 85 Barnaby Smith. They have one ranked duo in No. 8 Juan Carlos Aguilar and Bjorn Thompson.
