Week Six National Softball Rankings

BATON ROUGE – The LSU softball team (18-8, 4-2 SEC) moved up to No. 11 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll and to No. 13 in the USA Today/NFCA D1 Coaches poll. 

LSU, who has been ranked every week since the end of the 2014 season, took two from Texas A&M at Tiger Park this weekend. After dropping the opening game of the series, 2-1, LSU came back to take the series with 6-1 and 4-1 wins. 

The Tigers earned a total of 440 points in the NFCA poll and 293 points in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll. 

This week, the Tigers take the road for a midweek matchup against South Alabama at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Mobile. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. LSU will then continue its SEC schedule against No. 5 Florida Friday-Sunday. The game on Saturday will be televised on ESPN with Friday and Sunday’s meetings streamed on SEC Network+.
