Baton Rouge, La. – Shannon Cooke was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week on Tuesday morning.
Cooke, a junior defender from Rickmansworth, England, led LSU to two shutouts and scored two goals on the week. She played all 180 minutes in LSU’s two wins on the week – a 1-0 win over Baylor on Thursday and a 1-0 win over Texas Tech on Saturday. Cooke scored a goal in the 27th minute on Thursday night and she added another goal on Saturday in the 29th minute; both goals were the game winners.
Cooke was named the SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. This is her first career Top Drawer Soccer honor.
