Beach Remains in AVCA Top-3

BATON ROUGE – After winning three matches and falling to Florida State in a top-two matchup over the weekend, the LSU Beach Volleyball team dropped to No. 3 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

This is the seventh consecutive poll that LSU is in the AVCA Top-3 and 43rd straight poll the Tigers are in the Top-10.

The Tigers will have a chance to avenge Saturday’s loss to the No. 2 Seminoles this weekend for a rematch in Gulf Shores during UAB’s March to May. That match will take place Saturday at 4 p.m. CT. LSU will also face No. 18 Georgia State again who the Tigers swept over the past weekend as well as N0. 20 Tulane, No. 11 Grand Canyon and UAB.

The March to May takes place at Gulf Place on the beach just outside the hangout at the same location where the National Championship will take place in May.
