The Southeastern Conference announced that dual-session tickets will go on sale today for the 2021 SEC Gymnastics Championship, which will be held on Saturday, March 20 at the Von Braun Center (VBC) Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala.
Dual-session tickets range from $24 to $38 (additional fees may apply) and provide admission to both sessions of the championship. The rotations will be set up in two sessions, with seeds 5-8 competing in Session I at 2:30 p.m. CT and seeds 1-4 competing in Session II at 7 p.m. CT.
Due to public health guidelines, the capacity inside the VBC is limited to accommodate for social-distancing, with seating separated into Pod groupings. Tickets may be purchased in-person at the VBC Box Office or online at Ticketmaster.com and must be purchased by entire Pod groupings. Facemasks will be required to enter the facility.
Remaining single-session tickets will be available on Monday, March 15 and will range from $17 to $24.
This will be the first time Huntsville will host the SEC Gymnastics Championships. The decision to relocate the 2021 SEC Gymnastics Championships to Huntsville is due in large part to the combined efforts of the VBC, Huntsville Sports Commission, Birmingham sports marketing company Knight-Eady, and the Huntsville/Madison County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).
The eight SEC gymnastics programs are all ranked in the top 25 of the NCAA Gymnastics Rankings, with four teams currently ranked in the top 10. Teams from the Southeastern Conference have won 10 of the last 15 NCAA?Championships and 19 NCAA?titles all-time.
