Pfyffer Named to 2021 SEC Men’s Community Service Team

COLUMBIA, MO. – LSU swimmer Luca Pfyffer has been named to the 2021 SEC Men’s Community Service Team, announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Pfyffer, a senior on this year’s squad, has participated in Reading & Activity as well as the St. Jude Walk and Run for local primary schools in the Baton Rouge area. He has worked on multiple sustainability projects for LSU throughout his time as a Tiger. Pfyffer is also a three-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Pfyffer has also left his mark in the pool for the Tigers during his time wearing the purple and gold. He holds the second fastest time in LSU history in the 200-Yard Breaststroke and the third fastest time in the 100-Yard Breaststroke, both of which he set at the 2020 SEC Championships. He also holds fifth fastest time in the 200-Yard IM. He has qualified for a final swim every year at the SEC Championships, with two appearances in a ‘B’ Final.

Pfyffer and the Tigers are in Columbia, Missouri awaiting the start of the 2021 SEC Championships that will begin Tuesday afternoon.
