Women’s Golf National Rankings Update

BATON ROUGE – The LSU women’s golf team maintained its No. 3 in the Golfstat team rankings following their second-place finish at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida, last weekend. LSU is also ranked No. 3 in the initial Women’s Golf Coaches Association 2021 poll released today and is in the No. 6 spot in this week’s Golfweek poll.

The squad is led by sophomores Ingrid Lindblad and Latanna Stone. Newcomer Carla Tejedo Mulet, junior Presley Baggett and senior Kendall Griffin round out the current travel team. Lindblad, a mid-season ANNIKA Award Watch List member, is leading the team with a 70.75 average, followed by Stone at 72.00. Tejedo Mulet is shooting 73.67 while Griffin is shooting a 74.33 and Baggett is shooting 75.00.

The Tigers are back in action Feb. 22-23 as they head to the Icon Invitational at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas.
