Baton Rouge, La. – Noah Williams of the LSU track and field program was named the SEC Men’s Co-Runner of the Week on Tuesday afternoon following his outstanding performance on Saturday at the Charlie Thomas Invitational.
Williams made his 400 meter debut for LSU on Saturday and came out of the blocks firing on all cylinders. Williams, a junior transfer from the University of Akron, circled the 200 meter track twice in a personal best time of 45.47 seconds to win the event. The time is No. 2 in the NCAA, ranks fifth in the world, and No. 6 on the all-time LSU indoor list.
This marks the fourth straight week a member of the LSU track and field team has been honored by the SEC. A full list of honorees are below.
