Volleyball Makes Schedule Changes

BATON ROUGE – The LSU Volleyball schedule has shuffled around after Auburn Volleyball announced Friday afternoon that it would not compete in the spring, opening the door for LSU and Ole Miss to make up their matches that were not played during the fall schedule period.

LSU and Ole Miss will make up their matches on February 27 and 28 in Baton Rouge at 1 p.m. CT both days. The two teams were scheduled to play each other during the fall portion of the schedule, but the matches were postponed with the opportunity to reschedule in the spring if the opportunity presented itself within the schedule.

After Auburn’s announcement of the cancelation of its season, LSU and Ole Miss were able to schedule their make-up matches. LSU was scheduled to face off against Auburn in Baton Rouge February 4 and 5. Ole Miss was originally scheduled to face off against Auburn February 27 and 28, which happens to be LSU’s bye week, allowing for the matches to be played.

The Tigers’ bye week is now scheduled for the second week of the spring schedule after LSU opens this week, January 29 and 30, at No. 17 Missouri.
