Celaya-Hernandez Named SEC Diver of the Week for Fourth Time This Season

BATON ROUGE – LSU diver Juan Celaya-Hernandez has been named SEC Male Diver of the Week, announced by the conference office on Tuesday. This is the 13th time Celaya-Hernandez has been awarded SEC Diver of the Week in his career, and fourth time this season. 

Celaya-Hernandez notched two victories this past week against No. 4 Texas A&M to continue his dominant season. He posted a final score of 405.22 to win one-meter. He then posted a score of 441.00 to win three-meter.

“Congratulations to Juan,” said LSU head diving coach Doug Shaffer. “This is yet another example of his dedication and hard work paying off in excellent performances.”

Celaya-Hernandez and the Tiger divers will be back in action February 17-20 as they will head to Columbia, Missouri for the 2021 SEC Diving Championships.
