Doyle, Weinberger Earn Degrees in Fall 2020

BATON ROUGE – Softball’s seniors Amanda Doyle and Claire Weinberger earned degrees this fall as they both graduated Friday morning. The two were also recognized Thursday evening as part of The Tribute hosted by LSU Athletics that was held virtual over zoom.

Doyle graduates from LSU’s College of Human Sciences and Education with a degree in elementary education. She plans to work towards her master’s in curriculum and instruction.

The Santa Clarita, California native is a three-time SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll selection and has been a vital member of the LSU softball program for four years. She has seen action at first base and third base for the Tigers and is 25 putouts away from being in the Top 5 all-time in career putouts (1,100). She has hit 22 home runs in her career and 39 doubles.

Weinberger graduates from LSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences with a degree in interdisciplinary studies. She also minored in animal, dairy and poultry sciences along with communications studies and leadership development. She will enroll at BRCC next semester to work towards her veterinarian technician certification degree.

The Prairieville, Louisiana native saw action in the outfield for the Tigers and earned SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll honors in 2019.
