Three Personal Bests Highlight Final Day of Texas Diving Invitational

AUSTIN – The LSU Diving team wrapped up the Texas Diving Invitational on Saturday with both the men and women competing on platform. The Tiger divers will be back in action on December 14 against Tulane from inside the LSU Natatorium.

For the men, Juan Celaya-Hernandez finished in second place with a score of 466.05. Manny Vazquez Bas finished in third place with a career high score of 415.80.

For the women, Helle Tuxen finished in second place with a score of 283.10, which is a career high for the freshman. Anne Tuxen finished in third place with a career high score of 276.05.

“We ended the day with three personal bests and I couldn’t be happier,” said LSU head diving coach Doug Shaffer. “This competition was exactly what we needed and we are leaving with significant accomplishments and a roadmap moving forward. Thanks to the University of Texas for hosting a first class televised event in which we could dual it out in a COVID safe environment.”
