Gonzales Named to SEC Community Service Team

Baton Rouge, La. Drew Gonzales, a senior on the LSU men’s golf team, was named to the SEC Community Service Team the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Gonzales volunteered his time at LSU’s annual Halloween BOOzar in October. BOOzar is an annual event where LSU student-athletes connect with the Baton Rouge community around Halloween. Student-athletes pass out candy, sign autographs and interact with all the trick-or-treaters. Gonzales also served as the men’s golf team’s SAAC representative at LSU. He voted on issues that pertain to student-athletes throughout the year.

Gonzales played in one tournament this year, the 2019 David Toms Intercollegiate. He rolled in six birdies during the three-day tournament in Shreveport, La., at Southern Trace Country Club.
