Schlattman Signs One-Year Contract with Chicago Bandits
BATON ROUGE – Former LSU softball catcher Michaela Schlattman has signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bandits, the National Professional Fastpitch (NPF) organization out of Rosemont, Illinois announced Wednesday afternoon.
“We can’t wait to have Michaela here in Rosemont and see her in action for the Bandits,” Chicago AGM Jourdan Skirha said. “She’s got an excitement and love for the game that will fit in great here.”
Schlattman played for the Tigers for two seasons. She transferred to LSU prior to her junior season following two years as a shortstop at Miami Ohio. Schlattman a key player for the Tigers behind the plate. In her career in the Purple & Gold, she hit .267 with 73 hits, 16 doubles and 13 home runs. As a senior, she hit .287 and had 39 hits, 13 doubles and five home runs.
The Plainfield, Illinois native was also successful off the field. She was a member of the 2019 SEC Community Service Team and was selected as an SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll honoree in 2018.
Schlattman graduated in May of 2019 and joined the Indiana Hoosiers squad as a graduate assistant manager.
