Softball Remains in Top 5 of National Polls

BATON ROUGE – After a 3-2 weekend at the Judi Garman Classic, the LSU softball team remains in the Top 5, coming in at No. 5 in the USA Today/NFCA Division I Poll and No. 4 in the USA Softball/ESPN.com Poll.

LSU, who has been ranked every week since the end of the 2014 season, earned a total of 649 points in the NFCA poll. In the ESPN/USA Softball poll, the Tigers picked up 421 points.

The Tigers are back at Tiger Park this weekend, hosting the LSU Round Robin. The Tigers welcome in Campbell and Illinois State. They kick off the weekend at 6 p.m. Friday against Campbell.
