Woollam, Barber Shoot Even Par 71s on Day One of Cabo Collegiate

Cabo, Mexico – The LSU men’s golf team shot a 11-over par 295 on the opening day of the 2020 Cabo Collegiate on Sunday. The Tigers are in 14th place after day one of competition on the Cabo Del Sol Ocean Course.

Chris Woollam and Garrett Barber had the low scores of the day for the Tigers with even par 71s. With a shotgun start being utilized, the Tigers started on holes Nos. 14-18. Barber and Woollam both had four birdies, 10 pars, and four bogeys on the day for their even par rounds. Three birdies for Woollam in his last five holes helped him bring his round back to even par. Michael Sanders shot a 3-over 74 (tied for 54th), Philip Barbaree carded a 8-over 79 (tied 73rd) and Trey Winstead finished at 18-over 89 (80th place). Arizona and Oklahoma State lead the field with 6-under 278s.

Round two of the Cabo Collegiate will begin for LSU at 10 a.m. CT on Monday morning. The Tigers will be playing alongside Rice and California.
