Montreal – LSU diver Juan Celaya-Hernandez finished in sixth place on the three-meter springboard in the FINA Diving World Series in Montreal with a score of 358.60. He dove to a score of 431.90 in the prelim to qualify for the finals.
This performance comes just one day after Celaya-Hernandez and his partner Yahel Castillo finished in third place on Three-Meter Synchro with a score of 407.22, 25 points over the next closest pair.
“Juan faltered a bit in the finals, but this is his first World Series three-meter individual final,” said LSU head diving coach Doug Shaffer. “However, this is a huge accomplishment in itself and a huge learning experience moving forward.
You will be able to closely follow LIVE all the results of both meets on the FINA app and/or FINA website, and all finals will be live streamed on FINAtv.
