AUBURN, ALA. – The LSU Swimming Team completed day three’s prelims session of the Auburn Invitational qualifying eight for finals tonight. The Tigers will be back in action this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. CT to take part in Sunday’s Finals.
200-Yard Backstroke
Katie Smith touched the wall eighth with a time of 2:05.95, securing her spot in the ‘A’ Final.
100-Yard Freestyle
On the women’s side, Johannah Cangelosi finished 23rd, making the ‘C’ Final with a time of 53.30. For the men, Thomas Roark qualified for the ‘A’ Final finishing fifth with a time of 44.77.
200-Yard Breaststroke
Two Tigers qualified for the ‘A’ Final tonight, Emily Pye and Maddie Clifton finished third and sixth with times of 2:19.33 and 2:20.90. Ellen Pack, Isabella Buttaci, and Abigail Baumgartner touched 10th, 11th, and 12th with times of 2:29.21, 2:29.51 and 2:30.50.
1650-Yard Freestyle
For the women, Kylie Bennett touched second after swimming a career best time of 17:15.05. On the men’s side, Braden Nyboer finished seventh with a time of 15:57.72.
