AUBURN, ALA. – The LSU Swimming Team completed day two’s prelims session of the Auburn Invitational resulting in ten Tigers qualifying for finals tonight. The Tigers will be back in action tonight at 5:30 p.m. CT to take part in Saturday’s Finals.
IN THE POOL
200-Yard Freestyle
For the women, Kylie Bennett and Johannah Cangelosi qualified for the ‘C’ Final placing 21st and 22nd with times of 1:54.20 and 1:54.28. On the men’s side, Thomas Roark earned his spot in the ‘A’ final placing 6th with a time of 1:39.29. Braden Nyboer touched the wall 18th with a time of 1:42.79 qualifying for the ‘C’ final.
100-Yard Breaststroke
Two Tigers qualified for the ‘A’ final, Emily Pye touched the wall third with a time of 1:03.80 and Maddie Clifton finished eighth with a time of 1:05. 53. Ellen Pack finished ninth with a time of 1:05.59 earning her spot in the ‘B’ final. Isabella Buttaci also made the ‘B’ Final touching 15th with a time of 1:09.09. Abigail Baumgartner placed 17th making the ‘C’ Final with her time of 1:10.35.
100-Yard Backstroke
Katie Smith qualified for the ‘A’ Final, touching eighth with a time of 56.27. Johannah Cangelosi touched 19th with a time of 58.56, making the ‘C’ Final.
