AUBURN, ALA. – The LSU Swimming Team completed day two of the Auburn Invitational on a day highlighted by multiple career best times and five top-eight finishes. The Tigers will be back in action Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. CT to take part in Sunday’s Prelims to conclude the invitational.
IN THE POOL
200-Yard Freestyle
On the women’s side, Kylie Bennett touched the wall 13th with a career best time of 1:53.39. Johannah Cangelosi finished 16th in a time of 1:54.62. For the men, Thomas Roark touched sixth in the ‘A’ Final with a time of 1:39.03. Braden Nyboer finished 14th with a time of 1:42.99.
100-Yard Breaststroke
Maddie Clifton touched the wall fourth with a career best time of 1:03.42. Ellen Pack and Emily Pye finished sixth and seventh with times of 1:04.29 and 1:04.42. Isabella Buttaci and Abigail Baumgartner touched 12th and 14th with times of 1:08.16 and 1:09.72.
100-Yard Backstroke
Katie Smith touched the wall fifth with a time of 56.04. Cangelosi finished 15th with a time of 59.30.
