Women’s Tennis Golovin Among Fall 2019 Graduates

BATON ROUGE – Former LSU women’s tennis player Jessica Golovin will earn her bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration from the College of Human Sciences and Educations and join the Class of 2019 in graduating from LSU on Friday, December 20.

“It’s a special day for all of us” said LSU Directory of Athletics Scott Woodward. “These young men and women are so special, so smart and so talented in what they do. I see a lot of them almost every day, and I couldn’t be happier for what they have accomplished.”

A native from New York City, Golovin was a mainstay in the program since she arrived in the fall of 2015. Golovin’s performances on the court saw her earn All-Louisiana honors three times in her career, as well as All-SEC honors in 2019. Golovin made program history in 2018 when she and her doubles partner Eden Richardson won the NCAA Women’s Doubles National Championship, giving the LSU Women’s Tennis program its first national title.

Golovin joins fellow women’s tennis alumni Kennan Johnson in graduating in the Class of 2019. Johnson graduated in May, having earned her bachelor’s in Sport Administration from the College of Human Sciences and Education as well.
