BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team, the three-time defending Southeastern Conference champions, will unofficially kick off the 2020 season with the sixth annual Gymnastics 101 Showcase at 7:15 p.m. CT Friday inside the Maravich Center.
The free intrasquad event will begin at 7:15 p.m. LSU will also host a free fan fest on the south side of the PMAC from 5-7 p.m. There will be food, drinks and alcoholic beverages available for sale along with a picture opportunity with the Tigers’ SEC Championship trophies and crown, picture with Santa Claus and kid’s zone. This year’s Holy Cow t-shirt will also be available to the first 3,000 fans at the pre-meet fan fest.
Fans from around the country can also watch the practice live on WatchESPN.com and the app thru SECNetwork+. Lyn Rollins, Kaleigh Dickson Abboud and Lori Strong Ballard will have the call.
“This is a really exciting time for us and an important event for our team,” co-head coach D-D Breaux said. “To get to practice in the competition arena is really important, but it’s also an opportunity to give our team an extra boost with a great crowd on hand.”
A limited number of season tickets are still available for 2020. Seating is available in the 300 level of the Maravich Center.
A season ticket reserves a seat for all six home meets in 2020. Season tickets start as low as $30 for adults and $18 for youth (ages 3-12) and can be purchased online at www.LSUtix.net or by calling the LSU Ticket Office at (225) 578-2184.
