Student-Athletes, Fans Enjoy Annual Halloween BOOzar

BATON ROUGE – In what has become a Halloween Tradition on campus, LSU student-athletes, coaches and staff members from all sports distributed candy and played games with children at the Halloween BOOzar on Sorority Row on Sunday afternoon.

The BOOzar, now in its 24th year, is an event that connects LSU student-athletes and coaches with the community. The BOOzar is part of LSU’s Trick or Treat Down the Row.

Taking pictures and getting autographs from LSU student-athletes were also a big part of the afternoon.

The Tigers also had a costume contest as every team showed up in a variety of different things.

Best Duo: Swimming & Diving
Team Award: Beach Volleyball
Spookiest: Milan Stokes (Volleyball)
Most Creative: Women’s Golf

“The BOOzar is such a great event,” said LSU volleyball player Whitney Foreman. “It is a great way to get in touch with your childhood again by dressing up and passing out candy. The kids and parents love it which makes it such a fun event.”

Skylar Mays from LSU basketball agreed, “The Halloween BOOzar is just as much fun for the athletes as it is for the kids! Getting to take pictures with the kids and seeing everyone dressed up in costumes in a safe environment makes this one of my favorite off-the-court events of the year.”
