Basketball Teams To Be Showcased Prior To LSU-Auburn Football
BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s and women’s basketball teams will take to the court prior to the Saturday’s football game between LSU and Auburn as part of an open to the public Tiger Athletic Foundation Tailgate Basketball Showcase at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and fans are asked to enter the building through the Southwest ramp.
The women’s team of Coach Nikki Fargas will be first on the floor just after 11 a.m., showcasing her team which opens the 2019-20 season on Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the Maravich Center against the University of New Orleans.
The women will be followed by Coach Will Wade and his Tiger team at just after Noon. After the Tigers go through some drills, the returning players will be presented their SEC Championship rings to commemorate the 2019 SEC regular season title.
The Tigers open their 2019-20 season on Friday, Nov. 8, at home against Bowling Green.
At the conclusion of the basketball practice, as usual at the TAF Tailgate, the Golden Band from Tigerland and the Golden Girls will perform on the floor of the Maravich Center.
Boxed lunches and beverages will be available for purchase inside the building during the basketball practice.
Season tickets for both the men’s and women’s campaigns are still available for 2019-20 and seats will be tagged at the venue for those fans interested in purchasing a particular seat for the season. Members of the ticket office sales staff will be located at Portal C and F to help with orders or to answer any questions.
